Comic Shop Door

I designed this door with a large window and 3D printed it for the comic shop on the Yancy Street diorama.

I could have made this door our of styrene or wood, but I wanted to design and print as much as possible for this diorama. A little paint and it’s starting to look pretty good.

I added some clear plastic for the window, using plastic cut from an old CD case. The posters and signs were images of 80’s comic posters I found online and shrunk down in Photoshop. I used Modpodge to glue the posters to the window.

By overlapping the posters and signs, it gives a more authentic look to the window.

I added posters to the side windows as well, and this storefront is starting to look a little better.
