Adding graffiti to the Yancy Street diorama

Some delinquents went nuts on Yancy Street last night.

Yancy Street exists in a world where apes and humans reside alongside one another, sometimes tolerably, other times not so much, so I wanted to add a bit some graffiti and flyers that would help to tell that story.

These OBEY posters I found online were perfect. I used Modpodge to adhere them to the wall and tore them up liberally to make them look like they have been there awhile.

I added some graffiti on top of the OBEY posters from one of the local ape gangs that is trying to move into the neighborhood. And a simian Che Guevara on the side just emphasizes the “Evolution” occurring on the streets.

With the airbrush, I sprayed random bits of graffiti, trying to add layers of interest to the walls. Apparently, I am awful at graffiti, but I think it turned out okay.
